The Casino, built in 1910, is one of the most emblematic constructions of Thermal Architecture at the time in Portugal. The building housed a ballroom, a theater and a cinema.
Our proposal aimed to maintain its initial vocation, however adapted to current needs. The organic structure of the interior of the building didn't suffer  a lot of changes and occasional corrections were proposed to change the interior spans, access for people with conditioned mobility, circulations, public and service sanitary facilities, as well as a whole structure and equipment that aims to support events, shows , catering services, or others that the Resort wanted to organize.
In fact, its interior structure is particularly good and up-to-date, which allowed us to intervene inside without requiring major reconstruction works.
The rehabilitation made it possible to reinforce the levels of thermal, acoustic and hydraulic insulation so that the energy efficiency of this building is quite high, and to improve the architectural level of all its interiors.

The entrance halls maintained their atmosphere, and we have not altered this image in any way.
In the main hall, all the atmosphere and decoration was maintained and reclassified with the introduction of two cabins.
The main hall benefited from a major improvement of its interiors where we introduced a central Bar counter and in the Atrium a wind guard to take advantage of the spatiality that the main turret cover gaves us.
In turn, on the lower floor, the entrances and public sanitary facilities with hydraulic mosaic floors and skirt and shirt ceilings combined with correct lighting reinforced the character and personality of this building.
