Six Senses Douro Valley [stage 2]
The old independent building once designated as the Business Center was refurbished to accommodate ten brand-new suites in the main hotel. In order to guarantee the guests full access to this new part of the complex a second panoramic elevator was introduced, allowing direct connection with the main reception. These rooms stand out by their own private terraces or gardens, which are fully integrated within the surrounding landscape. For example, the master suite, located in the intermediate level, has a living space integrated into a glass pavilion that is connected with the exterior. On the top floor, two suites include a private bridges to two “Secret Gardens” which include a jacuzzi, guaranteeing full privacy for the guests in a remarkable natural spot.
Between this building and the main building of the hotel, where an outside patio was converted into a multi-use space, to practice yoga, cinema, or as a coffee break lounge next to the new meeting room next door. This room has now a thriving vertical garden and wooden shutters that complement the relaxed ambiance of this new leisure space of Six Senses Douro Valley.
