Tresminas

Tresminas

Tinhela610 represents more than just a tourism project; it is a self-sustainable and regenerative structure that promotes the increasingly essential concept of “inner sustainability”. Holly Niemela and Édouard Payen are the founders of this project, bringing vast experience in self-knowledge, awareness, and sustainable management to build a better future

The set of pre-existences, located in Tresminas, ex libris of the Vila Pouca de Aguiar region, presented itself as a characteristic example of the natural and heritage interest of the area. To promote preservation and ecological sustainability while also fostering cultural and tourist development in the region, we have created a proposal that draws on indigenous traditions and the influence of the Roman presence in the area, as well as the significance of the mining complexes of Tresminas and Jales.

The complex focused on recovering, preserving, and promoting built elements with historical value, serving as indicators of the territory's evolution and its inhabitants. These built elements, which we found in ruins, and the landscape surrounding them, were the basis for a sustainable project with minimal impact on the local ecosystem. The architectural intervention was subtle and discreet, intended to highlight and elevate the natural landscape in which they are integrated.

The project resulted in the creation of an ecological village that can accommodate 14 guests. It was created as a place for self-reflection and connection with nature. Tinhela610 reflects the vastness, calm, and beauty of the surrounding nature in guests, inviting us to a greater connection and balance with our roots.
